In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate "Lorna" Morello In the film Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia. She has worked behind-the-scenes in film, television and theatre. Yael leads a highly successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael moved into New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's staging of the play had a huge success. Yael is the co-founder the company The Cannery. From the Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery promotes new creativity, creative writing and innovative initiatives, and encourages the formation of new writers.
