Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones, better known as Suranne Jones, is an actress and producer of England. Suranne Jones is an actress and producer from England. She gained fame playing Ruth Slater, the detective in a procedural police drama "Scott & Bailey in the series 'Scott & Bailey', along with Gemma Foster, the GP in a medical drama 'Doctor Foster.' Jones is a Greater Manchester native who joined Oldham Theatre Workshop to receive her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts. She began performing on stage as a child at eight years old, portraying Gloria in a stage production called "Wait Till Dark". In 1997 she made her first appearance onscreen in a "Coronation Street' episode. She was in 2000 as Karen McDonald in the series. Following her departure from ITV's soap opera she played various characters on television programs such as "Vincent" The 'Strictly Confidential" as well as Harley Street. On the big screen she's appeared in films like 'Love and a Long Shot", "Broken Hearts" as well as 'A Christmas Star'.
